Akesa supports inclusion at FIDA 2024 Grand Final Day

Akesa has announced its support for The Football Integration Development Association (FIDA) 2024 Grand Final Day.

Pioneering Australia-based clinical trial supplies specialist Akesa has announced its support for The Football Integration Development Association (FIDA) 2024 Grand Final Day.

Scheduled for Sunday, 25th August at Coburg City Oval in Victoria, Australia, the event offers a platform where players with a disability can enjoy a supportive environment that promotes fitness, fun, friendship, and a profound sense of belonging.

This year marks Akesa’s inaugural involvement in the event, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to fostering inclusive communities and creating opportunities for individuals of all abilities.

As a hands-on event sponsor, Akesa staff will be actively involved, assisting with event operations, umpiring, awarding medals to players post-match, and engaging with attendees to promote awareness of FIDA’s important mission. The company has also contributed financially by providing branded sporting apparel, which will be sold on the day to raise vital funds for FIDA’s ongoing work.

“Akesa is proud to support community initiatives that build connection and belonging, break down barriers, and create a fairer and more inclusive world for everyone,” said Con Konstantopoulos, Co-founder and Co-CEO of Akesa. “FIDA’s initiative provides invaluable opportunities for community members to come together in the true spirit of inclusion, and we are honoured to contribute to such a meaningful cause.”

FIDA is a registered charity dedicated to providing Australian Rules football competitions for players with intellectual impairments. Participation in FIDA programmes aids in developing life skills, self-esteem, confidence, and improved health, all while fostering respect among players and the broader community.
