Monash Health research & innovation week

As of May 2026, Monash Health was supporting more than 600 active clinical trials across more than 30 research units. Work at that scale does not happen within one team or organisation. It depends on patients, researchers, clinical teams, pharmacy, sponsors, CROs, suppliers and industry partners working together.

Monash Health Research & Innovation Week returns from 7–11 September 2026, bringing the research and healthcare community together for five days of discussion, learning and collaboration.

The program spans clinical research, emerging therapies, precision medicine, paediatric and women’s health, surgical innovation, artificial intelligence, big data and healthy ageing. Sessions will be held across Monash Medical Centre and the Victorian Heart Hospital, with both in-person and online attendance available for selected events.

Clinical trials partnership – It takes a village

On Wednesday, 9 September, Akesa Co-CEO and Founder Con Konstantopoulos will join leaders from Monash Health, IQVIA, GSK and BeOne Medicines for a panel discussion exploring the collaborative partnerships behind successful clinical trials.

The panel brings together perspectives from clinical-trial management, hospital pharmacy, clinical research organisations, pharmaceutical sponsors and clinical-trial supply. It will examine how effective collaboration across this ecosystem supports high-quality research and, ultimately, better care and outcomes for patients.
