With a background spanning biomedical science, pharmaceutical compliance, and women’s health advocacy, Mira Foteva brings a uniquely holistic perspective to the clinical trial supply space.
Before joining Akesa, Mira held research and commercial roles across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, from leading investigations into maternal health at the Hunter Medical Research Institute to representing major pharmaceutical portfolios with DKSH and GSK. Her experience bridges molecular biology and medical communication, underpinned by a PhD in reproductive health and multiple publications in international scientific journals.
Beyond the lab and the field, Mira is the Co-Founder of the R.E.D.D. Centre for Women’s Health, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to menstrual health research, education, and destigmatisation, work that earned her national recognition as Wellbeing Magazine’s Woman of the Year (2023).
At Akesa, Mira supports business development and partnership initiatives across the clinical trial ecosystem, combining scientific depth with a passion for advancing women’s health and equitable access to innovation.
